Getting started
ARCANA runs on Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663). You'll interact with it through a normal web3 wallet, paying in ETH.
- Get a wallet. MetaMask, Rabby, or any EVM wallet works. On a phone, open the app inside your wallet's built-in browser for the smoothest connection.
- Open the app and press Connect. The app auto-serves the mobile layout on phones and the desktop layout otherwise.
- Switch to Robinhood Chain if prompted. If your wallet is on the wrong network the button reads "Switch network" — one tap adds/selects the right chain.
- Fund it with ETH on Robinhood Chain. You'll use ETH for wagers, lottery tickets, swaps, and gas.
Opening a pack
A pack is a batch of cards. Each card independently draws a multiplier, and your winnings are minted to you as ARCANA the moment the pack settles.
- Set your wager per card. Type any amount, drag the slider, or tap a preset. The live min and max (the per-card limits the contract enforces) are shown beside it.
- Choose how many cards — anywhere from 1 to 10. Your total wager = wager per card × number of cards, shown on the button.
- Press Open a pack and confirm in your wallet. One transaction commits the whole pack.
- Wait for the draw. A single verifiable randomness request decides the entire pack. The on-screen receipt shows each real step — signed, wager block, request, confirmations — so you can watch it settle on-chain.
- Reveal. Your cards turn over, each showing its multiplier. Winnings (wager × multiplier per card) are minted to your wallet in ARCANA automatically.
If a pack seems stuck
Randomness is fulfilled by a keeper. Your request is recorded on-chain the instant you commit, so nothing is ever lost — a pack that hasn't revealed yet will settle as soon as the keeper processes it. Refreshing the app is safe.
The odds
Every card draws from the same nine-rung ladder, an alchemical scale from base metal to the Great Work. The odds are fixed on-chain and identical for everyone — no amount of money buys better ones.
| Card | Multiplier | Chance | |
|---|---|---|---|
| ▿ | Lead | 0.5× | 80.61% |
| ☽ | Tin | 1× | 9.00% |
| ♀ | Copper | 2× | 6.85% |
| ☿ | Quicksilver | 3× | 2.00% |
| ☾ | Silver | 5× | 1.00% |
| ☉ | Gold | 10× | 0.35% |
| 🞰 | Elixir | 25× | 0.12% |
| ⚲ | Philosopher's Stone | 50× | 0.05% |
| ✦ | Magnum Opus | 100× | 0.02% |
Across the whole table the token-side return works out to about 85%. The 100× Magnum Opus is the rarest card in the deck — you might hit it in one pack, or open hundreds and never see it.
Swapping ARCANA
ARCANA trades on a Uniswap-v4 pool. Use the Swap tab to buy ARCANA with ETH or sell it back — trading is open, with no lock.
- Pick a direction — Buy (ETH → ARCANA) or Sell (ARCANA → ETH).
- Enter an amount. The app quotes the output live from the pool itself, including price impact and fee, so what you see is what the contract would fill.
- Approve (first sell only) so the router can move your ARCANA, then confirm the swap.
Staking & locks
Stake ARCANA to earn a share of 7.5% of all pack revenue, paid in ETH, streamed continuously over each 24-hour period and split by weight. Locking multiplies your weight.
How to stake
- Go to the Staking tab and enter the amount of ARCANA to stake.
- Choose a lock (optional). Leave it on No lock, or pick a tier to boost your reward weight for that term. The status line shows what your selection does.
- Press Stake and confirm (you'll approve once on your first stake). If you picked a tier, the stake and the lock happen in a single transaction.
The lock tiers
| Lock term | Weight multiplier |
|---|---|
| No lock | 1× |
| 7 days | 2× |
| 14 days | 3× |
| 30 days | 5× |
Rewards are split by weight = staked amount × multiplier. So 100 ARCANA locked for 30 days (5×) counts as 500 weight and earns five times what the same 100 earns unlocked. Boosting redistributes the fixed dividend toward lockers — it doesn't mint extra ETH.
- Locked stake can't be withdrawn until the term ends.
- You can extend or upgrade a lock (to a longer term / higher tier), but never shorten it. Adding more stake while locked extends the boost to the new tokens.
- Claim anytime. Dividends accrue continuously; press Claim to collect the ETH — you don't need to unstake to claim.
- Unstaking is the toggle beside Stake, available once any lock has expired.
The lottery
Two prize pots run continuously — a daily pot and a weekly pot. Buy tickets, and when the round closes one winning ticket takes almost the whole pot.
- Open the Lottery tab and choose the daily or weekly pot.
- Buy tickets at 0.01 ETH each. Every ticket is a separate entry — buy as many as you like.
- Wait for the round to close on its interval. Once time is up, anyone can trigger the draw — no operator required.
- One winning ticket is chosen by the same verifiable randomness that settles packs.
- The winner takes 95% of the pot; 5% goes to the protocol.
- If a round closes with fewer than two tickets it can't draw, so the whole pot rolls over into the next round and keeps growing.
- Prizes are pushed to winners automatically, with a manual Claim as a safety net so nothing is ever stranded.
The flywheel
Every wager is paid in ETH into the protocol and, once a day, split three ways. The more packs open, the more ARCANA is bought back and burned, and the more stakers earn.
- 90% — Buyback & Burn. The bulk market-buys ARCANA through the pool and burns it: a permanent supply cut that scales with volume.
- 7.5% — Staker dividends. Paid to stakers in ETH, streamed over 24h and weighted by (boosted) stake.
- 2.5% — Treasury. Funds ongoing development and operations.
Both the buyback and the daily distribution are permissionless — anyone can pull the crank, and the app exposes buttons for both. Nobody has to trust a team to keep the flywheel turning.
Reading transparency
The Transparency tab surfaces the numbers that matter, all read live from the chain.
- Realized RTP — what the wheel has actually paid versus the theoretical ~85%.
- Net emission — ARCANA minted by wins minus ARCANA bought back and burned, so you can see the supply pressure in real time.
- Distribution timing — when the next daily split unlocks, and how the current stream is progressing.
Every figure traces to an on-chain event. Contract addresses and transactions link out to the block explorer, so you can verify anything yourself rather than take the app's word for it.
Questions
What sets the rate my winnings are minted at?
A fixed launch rate, set equal to the pool's opening price so a winning card mints ARCANA at the same rate a buyer pays. It's owner-adjustable while the market finds its feet, and later switches to a live pool-based oracle.
Can I lose the tokens I stake?
No. Staking custodies your ARCANA and you withdraw the same amount later (after any lock term). The dividends you earn are ETH paid on top. The only constraint is that a lock prevents withdrawal until it ends.
Do I have to lock to stake?
Not at all. Locking is entirely optional — unlocked stake earns at 1× weight. Locking simply boosts your share for the term you commit to.
My draw failed with a wallet error — why?
Almost always a network or wallet issue rather than the game. Make sure you're connected to Robinhood Chain and have enough ETH for the wager plus gas, then try again.
Are the packs and lottery actually fair?
Yes. The odds live in the contract and are the same for everyone; each pack and each lottery draw is decided by a single verifiable randomness request committed on-chain before it settles. There is no house adjusting anything.
What can the protocol owner change?
Operational parameters — the mint rate, per-card limits, the lock tiers, whether the emission breaker is armed, and the daily fee split's destination wallets. The owner cannot alter an existing lock's multiplier, rig a draw, or take your staked tokens.
